Join the Litens Engineering team as a PDM/MBD Specialist.  In this position, you will be responsible for leading and resolving PDM/MBD/CAD software, system, interoperability, and integration issues.

 What you will do?

Understand PDM configuration/workflows in-depth, as well as global SQL database replication, and propose and implement changes to optimize the efficiency and robustness of the PDM vault.

Establish a global PDM disaster recovery plan, including PDM outages, and be the single point of contact to coordinate all the activities to execute the plan.

Responsible for PDM performance monitoring, security plan, user permissions, and user audit. Automate reporting activities by SQL, API, or other scripting languages.

Lead investigations of PDM/MBD (Model-based Definition)/CAD problems by collaborating with software vendors, external support service providers, IT/BSG, and other Litens sites. Determine root causes with the investigation team, propose immediate containment and permanent corrective actions, and implement the countermeasures swiftly.

Understand how MBD is used in downstream processes, systems, and software. Troubleshoot interoperability and system integration issues by leading a cross-functional team to improve the efficiency of MBD processes.

Document PDM/MBD/CAD know-how and best practices, create effective user training such as e-learning/video/online workshop training and deploy the training. Periodically assess user adoption level company-wide and implement countermeasures.

Investigate what hardware platform is most suitable for PDM/MBD/CAD and create PE’s hardware platform strategy.

Responsible for planning and coordinating global validation, implementation, and upgrades related to PDM/MBD/CAD and other PE software.

Explore emerging leading-edge technologies and recommend changes and upgrades as our organization evolves into a Model-Based Enterprise.

 What you will bring?

Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering, or a technology-related field

Excellent Analytical skills for complex problem solving

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

1+ years of experience in creating PDM/PLM workflows and programming

Experience in SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or Creo CAD experience is an asset

Experience in SolidWorks PDM API and SQL database is an asset

Experience in process and system infrastructure development is an asset

Experience in working in the mechanical or electrical engineering industry is an asset
