What will you do?

  • Performs machine program maintenance, backup and reinstall as required
  • Works in conjunction with maintenance department technicians to analyze program sequence to identify and resolve error codes and line down conditions
  • Writes new/updated program sequences according to approved process change requests.
  • Contributes continuous improvement ideas related to programming efficiency
  • Design and maintain electrical schematics, safety circuits and logic diagrams as per designated electrical codes and interface to machine designs as required. Device net, ethernet and safety PLC programming/troubleshooting


What will you bring?

  • Degree/diploma in electrical/electronic engineering
  • Five years automation / assembly equipment experience
  • Knowledge of IEC-1131-3 PLC & Motion Control Programming
  • Able to create/modify function blocks, ladder logic, sequencers, structured text and programs from scratch
  • Programing experience of Fanuc robots and Mitsubishi PLC
  • Knowledge of basic machine design practices, sound electrical principles and basic statistics as required for quality evaluations
  • EPLAN / CAD drawing software experience
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with others in English
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code
