What you will do?
Improve and maintain the stability the of Ultrasonic Welding process to ensure a high level of quality and productivity.
Execute process optimization and development activities.
Support the work of the maintenance team with troubleshooting/repair guidance.
Take part in systematic problem solution processes (e.g.: 8D, ISHIKAWA, 5WHY) and determination of root causes.
Create, edit, and maintain documentation (working instructions, process parameter sheets, equipment specifications, etc.).
Planning, implementation and documentation of machine and Ultrasonic Equipment commissioning; if needed, Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing and personnel training.
Planning, implementation and documentation of all Ultrasonic Welding Application Development and Service .
Providing technical assistance on ultrasonic welding process and identify solutions, permanent troubleshooting support on the process .
Providing application and/or technical clarification for the integration of ultrasonic welding equipment.
Reviews product designs for feasibility to use ultrasonic welding as a robust plastic joining method.
Work with ultrasonic welding suppliers to ensure scope and need are met and right solutions are proposed.
Release of ultrasonic welding equipment tools and machinery prior to start up of serial production until end of life.
Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment.
Develops procedures and processes.
Performs tests or inspections and collects data.
Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations.
Provides feedback on adverse trends.
Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products.
Conducts certification preparation training to other team members.
What you will bring?
An Associate Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the Process Engineering field.
Experience in Ultrasonic Welding, Robot, PLC, and Sensor Technologies would be an advantage.
Knowledge of quality tools/processes (SPC, FMEA, 8D, Risk Assessments).
Mechanical and electrical skills are required.
Experience in servicing and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to give technical presentations and conduct technical training when needed.
Have a keen sense of initiative and will take ownership of projects.
Ability to implement programs into practice; strong analytical and problem solving skill.
Available to travel.
