What you will do?

Research and develop state-of-the-art control and estimation algorithms for the Battery Management System (BMS) and thermal management products to deliver best customer experience in terms of performance, range, and battery life
Develop control-oriented system models and use them to develop and refine control strategies and drive their implementation
Keep up to date on latest trends and advancements in control systems algorithms and technologies
Develop and validate control and estimation models in Simulink and GT-Suite, accelerating development cycles and push the limits of BMS and thermal controls technologies.
Use tools for automatic generation of code to be integrated into our embedded software.
Collaborate with Systems and Firmware Engineers to architect and define control requirements.
Work with firmware and integration engineers to implement, test, and debug these algorithms using models and controller hardware for MIL, SIL, HIL, and integration testing
Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers to define control system capability and establish actuation/sensing requirements
Work closely with Product Owner, Scrum Leader, and a team of talented engineers in an Agile Scrum Team, utilizing continuous integration and deployment methodologies.
Advance Litens IP in Battery Management Systems and Thermal Management Systems

What you will bring?

M.Sc or PhD in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Strong knowledge of battery cell components and electrochemical processes and degradation modes, as well as battery modeling
Strong knowledge of battery management systems and algorithms
Excellent background in linear systems analysis, state-estimation, and first principles design and analysis of control systems
Excellent proficiency with creating controls-oriented dynamic system models of electro-mechanical systems in Matlab/Simulink
Understanding of thermal management systems and control strategies specific to EVs.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards such as ASPICE and ISO26262
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve control-related issues.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with little-to no supervision
Proficiency with embedded firmware development in C/C++
10 + years’ experience (M. Sc+8 yrs or PhD+6 yrs) in the automotive or related industry
Demonstrated experience developing algorithms for the Battery Management System through to production
Demonstrated ability to ground-up design, analyze, and implement control systems and estimation algorithms in real-world applications
Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally, work hands-on, and execute on open-ended projects in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment
Proficient with Matlab/Simulink for controls and estimation algorithm development
Experience generating high quality code from Simulink models
Experience using ALM tool(s) (e.g. Polarion) for requirements management to read and maintain control software requirements
Experience reading and understanding Architecture diagrams using MBSE tools such as Enterprise Architect
