 What you will do?

Devise testing method to support development of new technology or products.

Specify the testing setup needs for assigned projects – this includes all fixtures, sensors, DAQ and control types needed to accomplish testing needed.

Enable rapid testing by leading and performing tests for high priority projects.

Design fixtures, sensor brackets, or any other associated components needed to perform the required testing.

Support vehicle testing as needed – benchmarking, system integration testing, etc.

Design, implement, and maintain test applications using LabVIEW™ software and National Instruments hardware.

Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to system test engineers as required.

What you will bring?

B.Eng. or equivalent experience.

Minimum 1 year Labview development experience

General mechanical/electrical aptitude – ability to take a hands-on approach to testing methods.

Ability to gather product/technology or general testing requirements and translate them into a clearly defined test setup that meets these requirements .

Good knowledge of Root-cause analysis, uncanny ability to detect issues and sound knowledge of methods to track root causes.

Highly skilled at data Analysis; this includes post processing using modern signal processing techniques.

High level knowledge of structural vibration, NVH, thermal systems, BLAC motors and drives, etc.

Knowledge of modern test automation techniques.

Up to date knowledge of modern DAQ and Control systems associated with testing of automotive grade equipment; this includes HiL systems as well as Durability test setups.

2 years’ experience in the automotive or related industry and 1-year experience with National Instruments LabVIEW™ and strong knowledge of software code optimization techniques and best practices.

Experience with Rotec-DAQ, dSpace or related a plus.

Experience with RS232, CAN, LIN, TCP/IP, and Modbus communication interfaces is desirable.
