 What you will do?

Lead the design and development of power electronics systems, including inverters, converters, and motor drives.

Develop, validate, and release power electronics models using tools like Saber, Simplorer, MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape.

Define electronics architecture and lead activities in accordance with electronics simulation and design framework.

Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members.

On top of emerging industry trends, and technologies in electronics design.

Participate in the review and optimization of existing designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, FuSa, reliability, and manufacturability.

Support product validation, certification, and compliance testing activities.

Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to power electronics systems during development and post-production phases.

Contribute to the creation of intellectual property through patents, white papers, and technical publications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (controls, software, mechanical) to define system requirements, specifications, and design constraints.

Complete design and documentation deliverables in accordance with ISO26262/ASPICE .

Contribute to quotations, feasibility reviews, drawing reviews, technical reports.

Prepare technical presentations for internal or customer use.

 What you will bring?

BSc in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred.

Strong proficiency in power electronic circuit design, analysis, and simulation tools such as Ansys Q3D, SIwave, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar.

Experience with semiconductor devices, including IGBTs, MOSFETs, power devices, and their characteristics.

Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.

Have good document and collaboration software understanding (MS Office, MS Teams, JIRA, etc.).

5-8 years’ experience with high-power applications in the automotive or related industry.

Hardware DFMEA, WCCA, FTAs, Testing and Validation.

EMI/EMC design knowledge.

Altium, LTSPICE or other hardware design software.

Familiarity with ASPICE / ISO26262 environment and requirements an asset.
