Developing Sustainable Solutions

Sustainability, environmental awareness, and climate protection have never been more important. The current global situation demands that we break our old patterns and adopt sustainable methods. We as a company fully embrace the principles of sustainability. That is why we focused on our people, profitability, growth and the issue of sustainability when we formulated our corporate goals at the beginning of the year.

We are proud to share that we have reached a significant milestone in the direction of climate protection with the commissioning of the company AHS Solar, located in Biebergemünd. Litens Germany will install 2000 Solar Photovoltaic (PV) modules and have them fully functional by the end of 2022. With a nominal output of 750 kWp, Litens Germany has succeeded in the first construction phase and has utilized the maximum legal allowance for generating solar power at a commercial site. This will enable us to generate about 690,000 kWh and save 330 tonnes of CO2 annually.

After the first construction phase is completed, it will be possible to generate over 750 kWp. Litens Germany’s future plans include an expanded PV output with storage systems and the possibility of a charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
