On September 13th – 14th, Litens Brazil held a seminar highlighting Yellow September. Created by the Brazilian Association of Psychiatry (ABP), by the Federal Medicine Council (CFM) and by the Life Valuation Center (CVV), Yellow September is a day marked to raise awareness for suicide prevention, depression, and overall mental health. Despite it being a recurring subject, depression remains a significant topic of discussion in Brazil. There is a need for improved efforts and open conversations around the matter. The goal of the Yellow September movement is to create awareness around the symptoms of depression and the proper ways of approaching depression and suicide.
Together in partnership with Medic Saúde, a medical clinic, and Genghini de Menezes, a renowned Psychologist, LASA held an interactive seminar to open the discussion around psychological care and the correct methods to prevent, identify, and approach mental health issues.
