What you will do?

Lead/plan and perform embedded electronics engineering assignments associated with design, development or applications of embedded electronics.
Delegate to more junior electrical engineers.
Independently evaluate, select and apply engineering methods, procedures and criteria in making modifications and adaptations.
Test/troubleshoot complex/challenging components and assemblies.
Design advanced embedded electronics (selection of components, design of circuits).
Provide inputs and requirements for the purpose of programming drivers and other logic.
Provide guidance/approval on component selection and architecture.
Collaborate with controls and software engineers to develop/test/simulate control systems.
Use company APQP/DIS process to execute projects.
Prepare designs, calculations, proposal and revision to support engineering projects under direction.
Complete design and documentation deliverables in accordance with ISO26262/ASPICE .
Contribute to quotations, feasibility reviews, drawing reviews, technical reports.
Prepare technical presentations for internal or customer use.
Investigate problems and find root causes using appropriate methods and tools, assist manufacturing and suppliers to make improvements.

What you will bring?

BSc in Electrical or Mechatronics engineering
Possesses Strong problem-solving skills.
Good knowledge of Controls methods/techniques and technologies.
Excellent computer skills.
PCB design/component selection knowledge.
Good collaboration and communication skills related to presentation of technical information.
5 years’ experience with high-power applications in the automotive or related industry
Hardware DFMEA, WCCA, FTAs, Testing and Validation
EMI/EMC design knowledge
Altium, LTSPICE or other hardware design software
Familiarity with ASPICE / ISO26262 environment and requirements an asset
