What you will do?
Lead/plan & perform embedded software engineering assignments.
Approve developed applications.
Independently evaluate, select & apply engineering methods, procedures & criteria in making modifications/adaptations.
Create/implement design standards, programming standards & other development frameworks.
Test modules & complete programs & review others work.
Provide guidance on tools & development platforms.
Collaborate with electronics & controls engineers to develop/test/simulate control systems.
Contribute to feasibility reviews, technical reports.
Prepare technical presentations for internal or customer use.
Investigate problems & find root causes using appropriate methods & tools.
Assist manufacturing & suppliers to develop processes for new products.
Contribute to the evaluation of more junior developers.
What you will bring?
Proven experience in applied simulation on complex products.
M.Sc. (or Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to tackle new problems with a strong physics background and ability to come up with novel solutions.
Strong knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics techniques, thermal modelling and numerical methods, Eulerian and Lagrangian, reactive and non-reactive multi-phase flows.
Ability to apply coupled multi-physics techniques to a wide array of problems (FSI, thermal Flow, magnetics etc.), preferred experience with battery systems
Applied knowledge of CAE pre/post-processors and solvers: Ansys Fluent, HyperWorks Acusolve, Hypermesh, Simlab, GT-Suite (1D).
Strong background in engineering thermodynamics and heat transfer fundamentals, with ability to apply engineering judgement to simulations and test data.
Knowledge of innovative statistical methods, machine learning techniques and model order reduction.
Understanding of simulation driven design, collaborative sharing, and demonstrated ability of technical communication at different level (engineers, management)
Experience in flow test design, experimental set ups, and model calibration
