The issue of sustainability has become increasingly important in recent years and Litens is doing its part to create a sustainable future. The purpose of the 2022 Sustainability report is to provide an overview of the current efforts conducted by Litens to meet the sustainability requirements and adopt sustainable practices throughout its global entities.
Litens focuses on six UN Sustainable Development Goals that directly relate to our business focus areas.

We are on track to achieving carbon neutrality (scopes 1 and 2) in our global manufacturing operations by 2030. In 2022, Litens reduced 418.16 MT of greenhouse gas emissions and 1,112.19 MWh of energy consumption compared to the previous year.
Litens has successfully installed or is in the process of installing solar panels at our China, Germany, India, and Romania manufacturing sites
We encourage and support our employees who devote their time and energy to donate to international charities ranging from youth mental health support to education for underprivileged children and to environmental protection.
Maintaining ongoing university partnerships and engagement across the globe for EV battery development, including the University of Toronto, McMaster University, Dalhousie University, Tiangong University, and Technische Universität Chemnitz.
All Litens facilities are registered to ISO 14001 standard. Litens Canada, Germany, Romania, and China facilities are ISO 45001 certified, with Litens Brazil and India facilities planned to be certified in 2023
