University of Toronto Solar Racing Team Visits Litens

On May 9^th the Blue Sky Solar Racing team visited our Litens facilities located at 250 Courtland and 730 Rowntree Dairy Rd. The team showcased their 11^th Gen solar car “Borealis” as a part of our ongoing partnership with them.

We talked to the Blue Sky team manager who has been a member of the team since her first year in 2020 to tell us more about the partnership. “Litens has been invaluable to us, they have machined almost all our mechanical components. Without them we would have no mechanical system. Litens has guided us along the way to ensure the quality of our car is race ready. We’ve had an amazing experience working with them and are really thankful to have them as our sponsors.”

Jane Liu, MBD Group Leader in Product Engineering has herself been a former team member of the Blue Sky Racing team and continues to show her support by leading the efforts at Litens. She is also part of the safety board on the Blue Sky team and continues to provide her wealth of knowledge to the teams each year.
